My most recent Newborn Session

When my client emailed me to photograph her Maternity Session, I was disappointed since I was booked and unavailable for her session (good thing for a business person, but still disappointed for me personally). However she wanted to book her newborn session with me and I was really excited.

Mom had her baby a week past her expected date and we coordinated a date to photograph her family for their newborn photo shoot.

For the Family photos, they came dressed really nicely (mom was in a beautiful sequin grey dress, oldest was dressed in a white top and warm plaid A line skirt and Dad was dressed in a nice button down shirt with slacks. All of their family pictures came out beautifully and I had a great time photographing my client’s daughter for the sibling pictures.

After Family photos, I concentrated on photographing their newborn baby boy. Mom requested the colors of burnt orange, blues and warm neutrals. I was very excited when she requested burnt orange/rust because I usually get requests for warm neutrals or blue/pink colors. And then mom came in with a warm tweed suspender newborn outfit and it worked perfectly with my rust blanket that I had planned to use for her son’s blanket poses.

After I photographed her son on the blanket, I photographed him in a round bowl and a moon bowl.

Christmas Mini Sessions 2022

I held my annual Christmas Mini Sessions for 2022 and it sold out again! This year Christmas backdrop was a high key theme, using alot of white, reds and greens and this allowed all of my clients and their kids to either dress up in nice clothing, dress down in jammies and even as the Grinch!!

I’m soo fortunate to see all of my clients who worked with me in the past and met new clients as well! I’m looking forward to next year’s theme (the theme is already picked out!).

Christmas Mini Sessions

This year I offered Christmas Mini Sessions for a full day and it was sold out within weeks. My clients receive early access to purchase their Christmas Mini Sessions slot times before I announce it to the general public. With the early access, you get to choose your ideal time slot.

This year’s Christmas Mini Session was based on a very homey backdrop where there were lots of dark walnut natural wood with colorful decorated Christmas Trees on each side. The center mantle was also decorated with colorful flora.

My clients were a mixed of repeat clients and new ones and everybody LOVED their pictures. I had fun seeing my previous clients and getting to know the new ones with their kids and family members.

Family Session at Snug Harbor

I love it when clients return to me for the photos, especially for their Family photos. She wanted to have both her immediate and extended family photographed at Snug Harbor in Staten Island. I love photographing there because it provides different scenes and looks to everybody’s pictures.

When we first met up, we walked to the pond and I photographed her entire family as a unit and then I photographed each individual family grouping separately and they had soo much fun, especially with their new addition Charlotte.

Then we walked to the nearest gardens located next to the Pond and took more family pictures in front of their summer flowers, where everybody held and snuggled baby Charlotte.

Afterwards we traveled to the Gazebo area and the pathway to the tropical flowers. After spending about more than an hour at Snug Harbor, we had a great time catching up and capturing everybody’s family photos.

Bradley's Newborn Session

I was soo excited when Bradley’s mom told me that she was expecting. I photographed their first baby in 2019 and was honored to be able to photograph Bradley a few years later.

Since they were expecting a boy this year, I was pretty amped up to use alot of blues and neutral colors.

I first photographed family pictures so that their oldest can run around after and the parents can relax. Their oldest did great and loved the fact that she brought her Blues Clues stuffie with her and be part of the pictures. I’m sure that when she gets older, she’ll look at these pictures and feel nostalgia for her stuffed toy.

i was also happy that I got to photograph Abby with her brother for their sibling photos. She was happy to be in the pictures and gave her baby brother some kisses.

After the family and sibling pictures were done, I got my props out so that I can photograph Bradley in them. I used my flokati rug, heart bowl, bed and regular round bowl with different types of backdrops. After about 2 hours of taking pictures, Bradley needed a feeding.

After Bradley was settled, I put Bradley in an cute little outfit and took pictures of him on the beanbag/blanket.

Noah's Newborn Photo Shoot

Noah had his newborn session scheduled at around 1 months old and he did amazingly. I chose alot of neutral colors (warm tans and medium blues) to stylize his photo shoot. Even though those colors are pretty basic, they compliment every skin tone and can be paired with any type of prop.

I first photographed Noah’s mom and grandmother and they were ESTATIC! You can see it on their parent poses. When his mother said that he smiles for every picture, I didn’t realize that he actually smiles the whole time. It was beautiful.

Then I photographed Noah in props and he looked soo angelic. I love using bonnets and wraps because they keep the babies content while maintaining that classic look to their images.

After props, I photographed Noah for his blanket pose and even though he was slightly awake, the eye contact and his smiles were soo precious.

Even though newborn sessions are traditionally photographed between when babies are between 5-14 days old, photographing babies when they’ve gotten at 1 months old is such an amazing experience and love the types of pictures that I can capture at that age.
